Glass Preserved Flowers Workshop (Tiffany Technique)! (taught in Spanish)

Come learn this method of working the glass created in the late nineteenth century that was adapted to a contemporary design. It is so versatile that you can create lighting, stained glass and even jewelry!

We'll teach you the whole process of creating a Recycled Glass Artwork, you'll learn how to work this technique, all about the materials, the use of the welder, and finally the perfect finish to have a very special glass artwork at home!

We are Mirella and Rafa, creative beings since childhood and plant lovers, we can not help but create, which led us to turn our hobbies into our profession! At our L'horta Nord workshop in Valencia (Spain), we create pieces of glass that we have recovered from windows that are no longer in use to give them new life!

For beginners (no knowledge required in the field).

Content:

- Introduction to Tiffany technique, history and main features

- Design and development of volumetric projects

- Glass cutting processes and use of specific tools

- Soft Welding tin-copper

- Patina, varnish and antioxidant finishes

- How to dry plants and flowers for decoration

Materials included:

- Welder and metal;

- Patina, varnish and antioxidant;

- Additional support materials will be available during the session.

What you should bring:

- Glass (eg photo frame)

- Apron (to protect clothes)

- Will to learn!

When: Saturday 8th February 2020 15:00 -19:00

Duration: 4 hours

Participants: minimum - 6 | maximum - 8

-Each participant takes home their individual artwork.

Cancellation:

The registration fee will be refunded when the cancellation is notified within 10 working days before the workshop. If the workshop is not held due to lack of participants or other unforeseen events, the registration fee will be refunded in full.
